The Friendly Church, With a Place For You

Worship Life at Parkway

Worship at Parkway is a style of “blended worship” in which we blend both traditional and contemporary elements to our worship words and hymns. We follow the Common Lectionary for the scripture readings and theme for each week. Our Worship Folder contains all liturgy, hymns and announcements to make it easier for guests to follow our worship service. All printed material is supported by our copyright licenses which Parkway purchases. Our regular Sunday morning worship service is at 10:00 AM followed by a time of fellowship. We have special services throughout the year including recognizing women on Mother’s Day and men on Father’s Day, Senior Recognition Sunday, recognizing veterans near Veteran’s Day, a Patriotic Service near Independence Day, Ash Wednesday and Holy Week and Easter and Pentecost.
We are supported in our worship by our Sanctuary Choir which is our voice choir that provides music for our Call to Worship, and two anthems during worship. We also have a Hand Bell Choir that has added another beautiful dimension to our Music Ministry.
During the worship service, we have a time just before the sermon that the children are invited to participate in Children’s Church which is an activity designed to meet our children on their spiritual level.
A nursery is provided for infants and small children.
